Muhoroni Sugar Company 2025 Limited – Education Support Programme

Education Needs & Rationale
Quality education is one of the strongest foundations for sustainable community growth. In Muhoroni and the surrounding outgrower zones, many families depend on the sugar economy, yet access to learning facilities close to home has historically been limited—especially for young children and students transitioning to secondary school. Long distances to school, overcrowded classrooms, and inadequate learning spaces can directly affect attendance, performance, and long-term opportunity for learners.
Intervention & Impact
To strengthen education access in the Muhoroni area, Muhoroni Sugar Co. 2025 Ltd has allocated land for the establishment of three public learning institutions—two public primary schools and one public secondary school. These include Muhoroni Factory Primary School, St. Agnes Muhoroni Primary School, and Our Lady Queen of Peace Secondary School.
By making land available for these institutions, the company is supporting long-term, community-owned solutions that reduce pressure on existing schools, bring learning closer to families, and improve school enrolment and retention.
